Meet the Author - Allena Scott

June 11, 2025  11a-2pm

"The four Courts that make up the Realms Of Fundamental Magic have been split for thousands of years with no communication, and no help from one another. When the leaders of each Court gathered their people and made a new home in their new lands they forgot one very important detail. The elemental power each Court holds could help the entire realm in more ways than one.

There have been three assassination attempts on the “Cursed” Queen Alinta in a month. When she and her mate King Logi try to figure out who is responsible for these attacks more things start happening that they can't explain.

Things start getting out of hand they figure out they can't handle this by themselves and it might be time to try to make an ally of another court in the realm."

Allena Scott is a multi-genre author who lives in Tennessee! When not writing you can normally find her with her nose stuck in a book, baking, or spending time with her husband & dog.

Allena's debut novel, Fire Court, was released on February 23rd, 2025, with her second release, a dark Halloween romance novella, coming Friday, June 13th, 2025!

She plans to have both normal signed copies & special edition sprayed edges copies of both books for sale.

"Twisted Moments: A Horror Victorian Reimagining of Precious Moments"
– A Painting Class

June 11, 2025 6-8pm

Step into a world where sentimental nostalgia meets gothic elegance and eerie beauty. In this immersive painting class, led by our lovely friend Mallory Bertrand of Mallory Bertrand Studios we’ll take classic "precious moments" porcelain figurines and transform them into haunting Horror Victorian masterpieces.

What to Expect:

🕯️From Sweet to Sinister – Select from vintage delicate angelic figures and reimagine them in the dark romance of Victorian horror. Think eerie candlelit parlors, shadowy lace veils, ghostly children, and melancholic gothic scenes dripping with mystery.

🎨Horror Victorian Aesthetic – Learn how to use rich, moody color palettes, add macabre Victorian elements (wilted roses, cracked porcelain, haunted manor settings), and incorporate fine details like lace, cobwebs, and candlelit glows to create your own darkly enchanting masterpiece.

💀Sip & Snack in Gothic Elegance – The Kraken's Cup Tearoom will provide a selection of their darkly exquisite refreshments to set the perfect mood.

🎩Dress the Part! (Optional but Encouraged!) – For added fun, guests are invited to dress in Victorian or gothic horror attire.

✨Come for the art, stay for the eerie ambiance, and sip on something hauntingly delicious.

Emotional Sobriety- A Welcoming Wellness Community

Every Thursday at 5pm

The Kraken's Cup has partnered with Sober in Knoxville to create a safe and accepting  environment for their North Knoxville meetups.

It doesn't take much for life to throw things our way that can easily cloud us from recognizing our true potential.
Auto-pilot becomes our default and we are once again left asking, "Why did I say or do that?"

How do we begin to respond instead of react?
How do we break the cycles that we feel may be holding us back?

Emotional sobriety is being comfortably present with all of your feelings without any one of them defining or controlling you. It’s about being able to ride the waves of life without using harmful coping mechanisms to escape. This community is for everyone who has a desire to improve their relationship with themselves and the world around them.

Together, we can help one another grow in our daily practice of emotional sobriety and create a supportive environment for all.

*The Kraken’s Cup sells kombucha. Kombucha contains less than 0.5% alcohol by volume (ABV), which is considered a non-alcoholic beverage.

Please be aware of these products as it relates to your own sobriety journey & do not attend these meetings if being exposed could affect you negatively.

If you have questions, please contact soberinknoxville@gmail.com !

discussion of bees and beekeeping you will get to taste several varieties of honey, one of nature’s greatest delicacies.

local matters, and find out why honey might not be the ideal sweetener for your tea, or is it? Join us to find out all this
