Emotional Sobriety- A Welcoming Wellness Community
Every Thursday at 5pm (Except July 4)
The Kraken’s Cup has partnered with Sober in Knoxville to create a safe and accepting environment for their North Knoxville meetups.
It doesn’t take much for life to throw things our way that can easily cloud us from recognizing our true potential.
Auto-pilot becomes our default and we are once again left asking, “Why did I say or do that?”
How do we begin to respond instead of react?
How do we break the cycles that we feel may be holding us back?
Emotional sobriety is being comfortably present with all of your feelings without any one of them defining or controlling you. It’s about being able to ride the waves of life without using harmful coping mechanisms to escape. This community is for everyone who has a desire to improve their relationship with themselves and the world around them.
Together, we can help one another grow in our daily practice of emotional sobriety and create a supportive environment for all.
*The Kraken’s Cup sells kombucha. Kombucha contains less than 0.5% alcohol by volume (ABV), which is considered a non-alcoholic beverage.
Please be aware of these products as it relates to your own sobriety journey & do not attend these meetings if being exposed could affect you negatively.
If you have questions, please contact soberinknoxville@gmail.com !

Tea in 18th-Century America, a “Beyond Petticoats” Program
*THIS EVENT WILL BE AT MARBLE SPRINGS HISTORIC SITE*
You are cordially invited to an enchanting tea party at Marble Springs State Historic Site. The next installment of Their educational series on women of the 18th century, “Beyond Petticoats: Courage and Conviction in 18th-Century Women” is “Tea in 18th-Century America”.
Step back in time and immerse yourself in the tea culture of the 1700s. During this delightful gathering, we will explore the types of tea, tea ware, customs, and etiquette associated with tea during the colonial era here in America.
Savor a selection of teas that were likely those famously thrown into the harbor during the Boston Tea Party, accompanied by scrumptious homemade butter cookies. Our speaker, Vallie Prince, the owner of The Kraken’s Cup Tearoom in Knoxville, will grace us with her knowledge and passion for tea as she shares captivating insights into the history of tea and its profound impact on 18th-century America.
A $5 donation is required to RSVP. With only 18 spots available per class time, we encourage you to secure your place at this unique event. Tickets can be purchased using the ticketing link or by contacting Marble Springs Historic Site via phone or email.
